Who wants to speculate if Judge Sonia Sotomayor will be confirmed as the first Latin American Supreme Court Justice when we could be speculating on such important information as what the asking price might be of her West Village apartment?
Should Sotomayor pack it up and relocate to our nation’s capital her current luxury abode on Bedford Street could go for as much as $1.2 million. An unofficial analysis of similar apartments in the West Village building indicate that they measure at 999 square feet, with the most recent sale in 2006 for $1.225 million. Sotomayor purchased her New York home in 1998 for $360,000. Further financial details of her purchase are available for voyeuristic review.
