Jay Leno’s Final Show
By Natasha Dorsainvil

For the past 17 years, millions of viewers have laughed and winced at Jay Leno’s jokes and antics. During the wee hours of the night and morning, the thought of a skeletal night’s of sleep seemed to be a small sacrifice for a nightly dose of pop culture.
Tonight is sure to be one of those sleep-less nights. As of June 1st, Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show will become Conan O’Brien’s new gig. Thursday night’s Leno featured funny man/actor Billy Crystal, who was the show’s very first guest way back in ’92. For tonight’s show, Leno has chosen Conan O’Brien and crooner James Taylor to be his final guests.
But don’t think Leno will exit stage left and leave the cameras behind like his predecessor. He’s moving from late night to primetime, taking on pretty much all of NBC’s much coveted 10 p.m. slots during the weekdays. After a summer filled with standup, The Jay Leno Show is slated to compete against CBS franchise giant CSI this fall.
