Trump Magazine Bites the Big One

All that The Donald touches does not turn to gold these days. The result of a declining economy is an inordinate amount of magazines shuttering their doors for good, and sadly, Trump Magazine is the latest victim of this trend. The publication launched in 2007 trying to corner a little of Haute Living’s already-cornered marketplace, with a targeted demographic of affluent readers. The quarterly publication was part of Ocean Drive Media Group, which is now Niche Media Holdings LLC. Too bad for Trump, as the recession rages on, the number of affluent readers – and advertisers looking to target them – declined sharply, and the publication was no longer deemed profitable by the parent company. Not to worry readers – Haute Living will continue to be your source for all-things-luxury, no matter the market.
