LVMH, the international luxury conglomerate, has invested in Edun, a fashion apparel company owned by Bono and his wife Ali Hewson. The clothing line is marketed as ethically and socially conscious, with a mission to “create beautiful clothing and sustainable trade with partners in the developing world.”

“We started Edun so people could have a choice—to choose beautiful clothes with a great story behind them. LVMH’s investment is a vote of confidence in Edun and its mission and an important step in Edun’s journey to reach its full potential,” said Hewson.

Based in Dublin and New York, the PC brand was founded in 2005, and Bono stated that his hopes are that with the financial backing and public support of LVMH they can grow bigger and faster than on their own. “Edun is a small brand with a loud voice,” he said.
